Ernesto Torregrossa scored Brescia’s goal in the 21st minute, his 5th in 18 Serie A appearances this season.

Roma hosted Parma on Wednesday having lost three matches in a row and having scored just once in those three defeats, but, as predicted here, they bounced back, beating Parma 2-1, and that, despite conceding first. Following Wednesday’s matches Roma were 5th on the table, on 51 points from 31 games. Their current form reads; WLLLW. Roma have 15W, 6D and 10L, having scored 56 goals and conceded 43, which leaves them with a 13GD. Coach Paulo Fonseca played a 4-3-2-1 formation against Parma, with Edin Džeko up front. The reverse fixture, which took place in November 2019, was a 3-0 Roma victory, with all three goals coming in the first 20 minutes of the second half. Before that, the two teams had not faced each other since the 2010-11 season. Back then, Brescia won 2-1 at home, and drew 1-1 in Rome.

Roma have lost four of their last five away games in the Serie A, but all were to teams much stronger than Brescia. The hosts are in desperate need of points, but still…
