Juventus have failed to win in two Serie A (SA) matches (D1, L1) for the first time since the end of last season. The ‘Bianconeri’ responded with a 2-0 away win in the Champions League midweek, but there are still some doubts, as they have won only once with a margin of over 1.5 goals in their last nine SA matches (W6, D2, L1).
The hosts also dropped their first SA home points of 2019/20 in their last match here (D 2-2 v Sassuolo), with seven of their nine competitive home wins being decided by exactly one goal (W9, D1). Juventus have also been leading at the break here only once in their last six competitive outings.
The fact that visitors Udinese have won just one of their last seven SA matches (D2, L4), alongside only one win in the last 16 H2Hs (D3, L12), suggests that the other tribe of ‘Bianconeri’ will struggle at the home of the reigning champions.
Troublingly, Udinese have lost five of their seven SA away fixtures (W1, D1). Whilst they conceded just twice in opening three away matches, Udinese have allowed their opponents to score 13 goals across their last four (W1, L3), with eight of them arriving before the break.
Players to watch: Paulo Dybala (JUV) has scored a brace in two of the last three home H2Hs, with three of his four SA goals this season arriving in the second half.
Kevin Lasagna (UDI) has been his team’s last goalscorer in all three SA matches to see him score, despite two of those goals arriving before the break.
Stat attack: Juventus have scored exactly twice in 60 % of their home competitive matches this season.
However, the hosts have conceded before the break in four of their seven home league matches.
Udinese have seen 70% of their ten league goals arrive before the break.
